Australia's Days of Shame The Australian Democratic Republic Party deeply regrets that the Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard, has now descended to the level of aggressive murderous despot, to take his place among infamous others in humanity as a 'butcher of innocents'. Not in this Australian citizen's name has John Howard, without provocation, attacked, killed and maimed innocents, destroyed property and obliterated societies far away from us; children have now died at his hand, when there was an option. Sleep well John Howard, sleep well. Now elevated by his own ego to the most brazenly sycophantic leader this nation has known, he has disgraced the high office of Prime Minister and shamed all Australians, as never before witnessed in our political or national history. This pathetic Vaudevillian flaunts his pathological inadequacy in a horrifying male ménage á trois bloodlust. John Howard has now and in perpetuity ranked our nation among those who have attacked and invaded another state without its attacking us, the behavior of which the United Nations and our democratic and legal and social institutions refute as illegitimate and fully abhor. He has overridden the U.N. 'rule of law'. Australia has had its innocence taken by a political opportunist who would now stoop to the most evil behavior for his own political fortunes. This man, who disrespectfully trivializes his heinous actions by uttering the crass apocryphal statement that watching war movies upsets him, now kills people, kills innocents. Not in our name Mr. Howard, not in our name. Had we (or any other allied nation) suffered an attack, been at risk from an invading force, or seen Iraq in a position to harm, there may have been another perspective. However, Iraq has been utterly broken at the West's hand and it's threat potential lied about through propaganda. Worse, the U.N. had the very rare unanimous co-operation of every nation and the full Security Council. We were in Baghdad, and our teams were not hindered anywhere. There was an option. The matter was being managed with honour and integrity and further stronger unanimous resolutions could have been implemented without one innocent losing their life. But against the United Nation's honourable stand, John Howard and the troika of death chose to kill. Now the killing troika brag they are close to Baghdad. We were in Baghdad and this war is illegal. A great and solemn bell of immoral impropriety now tolls for us across our once fair land; and in our hearts, and in our parliament, forever. Australians have never known such days of shame. Proud citizens of Australia, prepare for the largest world protests and major world peace marches in history against this destructive and horrific unleashing of the weapons of mass destruction of Bush, Blair and Howard. Come together in all your cities. It took five years of protest to stop the agreed immoral killing of the Vietnam war through just such goodwill. All the cities of Australia must be brought to a standstill and shut down in the most peaceful protests ever seen - the people will he heard. We can then, honourably and peacefully, hand this matter back to the United Nations. The Australian Democratic Republic Party support and fully encourage all armed services personnel in now taking conscientious objection to this illegal and vile war which is going to be loathed a thousand times greater than Vietnam. All conscientious objectors will be given a civic welcome in Australian cities for taking the strong courage and honour of their moral convictions by utterly deploring John Howard's war. |
